This semester brings another client and another challenge for the students in the Capstone course in the New Media Institute at the University of Georgia. Following the successful implementation of the previous students' "My 95" project (http://www.nmi.uga.edu/my95/), the Georgia Department of Economic Development wished to extend the new media component to draw tourism to the Hospitality Highway (aka. GA 400).
Although a current website exists for the highway (http://www.hospitalityhighway.com/), the department, in an attempt to draw tourists off the main road to see the beauty of Georgia, wants to allow for the option of downloadable information. The information will be available through multiple platforms, including iPods, computers, and television.
Please check back for updates on the status of this project, and feel free to post comments and suggestions.
